South London songwriter Finn McHarrie releases debut single 'The Order Of Things', the first as trio Catgut also serving as the first release for new label DIY label Infrared Records. After a chance meeting with university friend Alice Western (BUGS), McHarrie was convinced to develop the many songs he had been gradually building up over the years into a full band project; with Alice working as producer and the help of school friends Matt Davis on bass and Naomi Morris on drums Catgut recorded their first EP. 'The Order Of Things' is an off-kilter pop-folk track that wearily trudges along, pausing for well executed atmospheric builds as Finn cycles through the seasons in a distinctive weary drawl reminiscent of Simon Finn or a more melancholy Violent Femmes. -Toby Evans-Jesra
